No Accounting for Taste

No Accounting for Taste

Mateo is weird. He likes to use an abacus but not a calculator. In nature, he likes seeing a deer but not a moose. He would much rather have an encounter with a ghost or a tyrannosaurus than with a puppy. Do you think he would prefer strawberry or chocolate ice cream? Would he rather listen to a rock band or a klezmer band?

Would he rather listen to a rock band or a klezmer band?

It appears that Mateo prefers words in which two consecutive letters of the alphabet occur consecutively. So, he would prefer strawberry over chocolate and a klezmer band over a rock band.
